Is She a Bitch or a Lady?
Jul 2, 2009 Uncategorized
So, you may be wondering, what is in a dog’s name? Just what does it matter what your female dog’s name is? The answer is perhaps a lot, because your bitch’s name defines him or her in the eyes of your neighbours, especially if you have a rather small, puny dog. For what a small dog lacks in stature it can make up for in attitude. For a smaller dog, being cute will get her everywhere. But what is a cute dog without a cute dog’s name?
Cute dog names are usually meant for female dogs. Abby, for example is a very cute dog name. When you put that together with an image, you probably see a little Westie or a Labrador pup running around a lawn in your mind’s eye. Other cute female dog names are Beauty, Becky and Princess. All of these cute dog names seem to embody a bundle of fur that has a sweet nature and just loves cuddles. They all allude to a cute appearance and a very happy dog owning experience.
However, there seems to be very few cute dog names out there for male dogs. This may be because it detracts from the masculine image that male dogs are supposed to have. Still, there are some male cute dog names about. Bobby, Casper, Patch and Spot are all cute male dog names that have the same effect as the female ones do. However, you do need to make sure that you have the right kind of male dog to give a cute dog name to, because if you get it wrong, he will sound ridiculous.
Cute dog names can be appropriate for male and female members alike of certain breeds and can help to develop a lovable personality, because of the affection, with which it will be handled. But do be warned, you do not want to leave your dog open to ridicule so choose when to give your dog a cute dog name with caution.
While dogs are quite intelligent animals, they cant really process the same amount of information that humans can. As a result, dog names should not be more than two syllables. If they are more than that, it is seldom that a dog will actually respond. Max, Sam, Lady, Molly and the like are excellent dog names because they are short and the syllables are hard. They easily respond to dog names like those and it can improve your chances of training them.
However, dogs names (can|should help them form an identity of their own. Common names dont allow them to do that, so finding something simple but unusual can help their characters no end without hurting their ability to respond on command.
I am prepared to bet money that most pet owners do not consider the factors outlined above when thinking of dog names for a new pet. Instead, dog names are chosen at random, but it is worth putting a bit more thought into it, for your dogs mental health if for no other reason.

Attracting People in Your Niche to Your Site
Jul 2, 2009 Online Business
Okay, you built your website…but will they come? How are you going to get people in your niche to come to your web site? You know they want what you have because you’ve done the research. But how do you get in front of them? Here are three ways…
First of all, send an e-mail to everyone on your e-mail list. Tell them about all the cool stuff you have, all the special deals and new products. If you are not collecting the e-mail addresses of your visitors, START NOW! This is one of the most important ways you have to contact your customers, so don’t neglect it.
It’s easy to collect e-mail addresses from your clients. Auto responders are programs designed to capture this information automatically, saving you time and energy. You can also gather e-mails through valuable free offers we’ll talk more about that later in this article. Auto responders can also send sequential e-mails to your clients, building your business even while you sleep. Big corporations do this to generate huge sums of money with Internet business. harness the power of this technology, and you can do the same.
Second, you can pay search engines to feature your ads during certain keyword searches. When you place an ad on Google AdWords, you provide them with a list of keywords related to your website. When customers enter those keywords into the search engine, they see your ad on the right-hand side of the page. It costs only pennies per click, and you can set a budget that works for you.
The third way, and probably the best way to start, is to get ranked high in the search engines like Google, MSN, Yahoo, and Ask Jeeves, for your particular topic. This is free search engine traffic, also called “organic” search engine traffic.
Think of the Internet as a giant billboard, one that knows just what you want. When a customer is looking for something, they type the keyword into a search engine. Search engines then rank websites; customers are more likely to visit sites that are ranked highly. Of course, they can only buy a product from you if they know you exist. It’s important, then, to improve your ranking.
When you aim to increase your ranking, you need to consider two factors: the stuff you see on your web page (your on-page optimization), and the things that aren’t on your webpage (your off-page optimization).
Use these three simple tips to get better search engine ranks:
1.Go to your HTML editor, and click on page properties. You will see space for a title. This is not the title that people see on your webpage; rather, this “title tag” is read by web spiders seeking information. Insert your keyword or search term in this area, along with other relevant keywords. Once this is complete, that title will appear in the blue bar at the top of your browser.
2. You know that keyword we used in step one? We are going to use it again. This time, we are going to add it near the top of your webpage. Your HTML editor will allow you to tag your keyword as either H1 or H2. By placing your keyword near the top of the page and emphasizing its significance, you make it easy for web spiders to find it.
3.Use your keyword throughout the text. Use your keyword once or twice in the first paragraph. Add a keyword to the second paragraph, and perhaps at the end. Use the word count feature on MS Word, and see how many times you’ve repeated the same keyword - if more than four to five percent of your text is keywords, you may be penalized by the search engines.
There you have it for the on-page optimization. Off-page optimization consists of getting backward links, but I’ll talk about that in Part 2.

Choosing The Right Cellular Phone Carrier
Jul 2, 2009 Online Business
Cellular Phones need reception in order to work. Good reception means a good experience, Great reception means a great one. Anyone looking can easily spend the same if not more time comparing a cell phone carrier and their plans as they would comparing the cell phones themselves. Getting proper information on this is hard. The reason for this is that the time and variables involved are so great that many online review site tend to steer clear of the subject.
As said by J.D. Power and Associates, wireless service has reached such high quality that cell phone users no longer find it a requirement to maintain a land line as well as a cell phone. It appears cell phones are enough. But as with most statistics there are combating results. According to comScore Networks, an amazing 1 out of 4 cellular customers are not satisfied. These combating statistics show how cellular technology is still in its growing stages. Even ask someone about their service, you will always get miced results, those that love and those that hate their carrier, with plenty of stories to boot. J.D. Power and Associates also finds that people who had an unresolved problem with their carrier, after trying customer service, were six times more likely to switch provider. That is were cancellation fees come into play. You see cell phone companies want to maintain their customer for good or for worse and have implemented cancellation fees to increase customer retention. Even the intro of 3G Networks, which started off with great expectation has received its share of complaints. So how do you decide on the best carrier? Well here is a rundown of which carriers rank best.
ComScore says that Verizon Wireless is best in terms of coverage and service, and consistently so. Being rated the best carrier over and over again. And that only about 6% of their customers break their contract.
AT&T/Cingular come in second, just behind Verizon. Alltels customer service contract breakers are more numerous, coming in at 9 percent, while Sprint/Nextel have an even higher dissatisfaction rating at 11 percent. At the bottom of the heap is T-Mobile, with 15% of customers wanting to break out of contract obligations.
Please note that the comScore survey above is not location specific. It is also using the percentage of people that are breaking the contract as the main factor for determining carrier popularity. However J.D. Power and Associates survey does indeed verify Verizon Wireless as the leader, but also goes on to add that this is true more so in the Northeast, as Verizons coverage is the strongest there. And T-Mobile, scoring the lowest with the comScore survey, actually ranked number 1 in the Southwest if you go by the J.D. Power and Associates survey. Also Verizon ranks lower when it comes to the phones that run its service in CDMA technology rather than GSM. As a result, Verizon cell phones do not normally accept SIM cards. This prevents them from being used when traveling overseas. As well the cost of Verizon wireless service also ranked as more expensive. So while Verizon’s customer service did get top marks, its bills tend to be confusing to read.
J.D. Powers and Associates also says that in the Southwest, Sprint is very popular. But at the same time concedes that in terms of call quality Sprint rank very low. A PC Magazine survey also confirmed the latter statistic. However PC Magazine also ranked T-Mobile as the best carrier in terms of pricing, second only to Alltel. As well T-Mobile has a wide range of cell phone in which you can use its service and since T-Mobile uses GSM you can use a SIM card enabling international use.
In terms of Prepaid cellular service. The winner is Virgin Mobile with the highest marks. After them is TracFone and then T-Mobile respectively. Verizon and AT&T follow in order of decreasing popularity. And then Sprint/Nextel comes in last.
Which carrier you choose may depend not only on how many phone calls you need to make but also on what part of the country you will be using your phone. Also if you travel a lot internationally and even what type of cell phone will best suit your needs. It pays to do the research and ulimatley avoid being trapped in a contract that you are unhappy with.

Frequent Headaches
Jul 2, 2009 Uncategorized
Lots of us have to live with headaches, which we get for apparently no reason. Some of these headache types may occur once and then we may go for several years before we have them again. Other sorts of headaches occur fairly often. These sorts of headaches are known as ‘frequent headaches’.
Frequent headaches in general are tension headaches. Other times, frequent headaches are the result of taking too much over-the-counter (OTC) medications. This sort of frequent headache is also called ‘rebound headaches’. While it is safe to take the recommended dosage to treat headaches, rebound headaches occur because the dosage amount has been surpassed.
Therefore, one of the ways to stop the pain that frequent headaches bring is to slowly reduce the amount of medication that you are taking. For people who may find this step difficult, consulting with their GP can help to find the best way to accomplish this without making their headaches or other complaint worse.
Other than overdosing on headache medicine, there are also other factors that can bring the onset of frequent headaches. These can be excessive amounts of smoking and drinking lots of alcohol beverages. Reducing your alcohol intake to a moderate level can help with reducing the pain of your frequent headaches.
As smoking any form of tobacco will increase your risk of getting frequent headaches, it is definitely advisable to stop smoking completely. While it might seem to be easy to control these frequent headache triggers, you may actually need professional assistance to reduce the occurrence of frequent headaches.
Therefore, when you talk with your GP you should ask about headache clinics and whether they may have the facilities to assist you with your rebound and/or frequent headaches. People who would rather deal with their headache medicine themselves, can start by reducing the dose a little at a time.
When your body is able to deal with that reduction, you can lower the amount a bit more. Should you feel that the headaches are becoming overwhelming, you have the option of taking cortisone to help tolerate the pain of the headaches while your body slowly adjusts to the new regime.
As frequent headaches seem to be caused more by the overdose of headache medication, it would be a wise idea for you to take the medication only when you absolutely need to. That way you can control your intake of the medication that causes you to suffer from other headaches in addition to what you originally started the pain killers for.

Egyptian Red Sea Divers
Jul 2, 2009 Online Business
Ned Middleton describes how he and a team of Divers from Diving World discovered a wreck in the Egyptian Red Sea.
Strange as it may seem but, as I approached, the last quarter of 1998 and, with it, my twenty fourth year of Diving, I had yet to visit the Red Sea. I could probably have come up with a number of flimsy excuses as to why not - though the truth was, I simply never got around to it. This often put me at a disadvantage when, even editors would suddenly say - “well you must know what the Thistlegorm is like” or “well it’s bit like the Red Sea” - and, of course, I had never been there. As October approached, however, this was about to change - and in quite a dramatic fashion, the oddest part was that it all began with a trip to Grenada.
Now I often travel by unconventional means - after all, I have to get other people to pay my fare and then I have to convince the carrier that allowing my 200kg on board without charging excess baggage really is in their own best interests (thanks again Caledonian Airways!). So, when it comes to the end of any article and I find myself recommending a travel company I have to be very careful.
Thus it was with my piece on Grenada and, after a couple of exploratory calls to companies with whom I was not satisfied, I ended up calling Diving World. Suddenly, I knew I was talking to a company who understood Divers and their needs.
No, they did not grab the opportunity to be associated with Grenada in the way that others had tried, they simply pointed me in another direction on that issue (and they were right!) and then brought the conversation around to the Red Sea - after all, Diving World are Red Sea specialists - and they spoke my language.
Yassin Oweiss is the quietly spoken owner of Diving World and, it seems, my call came just at the right time for something he had in mind. Of course, I had a little research and preparation to complete and I started with whatever Guide Books I could find, extracted all the articles I could lay my hands on and found myself studying sites like the Carnatic, Ghiannis D and, of course, the mighty Thistlegorm. By November I was ready - just as Yassin telephoned again.
